WHO WE ARE
The Broadcast Professional Guild of Ireland (BPGI) is the representative body for the diverse community of professionals working in every corner of Irish broadcasting. We are camera operators, editors, sound engineers, directors, riggers, floor managers and all the other skilled individuals who contribute to bringing Irish stories and content to audiences. The BPGI unites these professionals, providing a collective voice and fostering a sense of community within the industry. Crucially, the BPGI is governed by a board comprised of working broadcast professionals, ensuring that the guild's direction and priorities are directly informed by the experiences and needs of its members. We believe that a strong and supported workforce, led by its own members, is essential for a thriving broadcasting sector, and we are dedicated to representing the interests of our members.
WHAT WE DO
Broadcasting together
The BPGI champions the rights and interests of broadcast professionals in Ireland. We advocate for fair working conditions, promote professional development, and strive to ensure a sustainable future for the industry. We engage with broadcasters, policymakers, and other stakeholders to address the challenges facing our members and to promote the value of quality broadcasting. The BPGI also provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge among its members, fostering a supportive and connected professional community. We are committed to elevating the standards of Irish broadcasting and ensuring that the voices of broadcast professionals are heard and respected.
